Royal booster
(PACLOBUTRAZOL 23 % SC)Category:Pgr
🌾Usage: Suitable for multiple crops
Plant growth regulators can be defined as chemical substances that control all aspects of growth and development within plants. Royal booster is an extensively used regulator that is used especially in mango fruit. Primarily, the role of Boost is to inhibit gibberellin synthesis and promote flowering and fruiting. Thus, vegetative growth is reduced and the assimilates are transferred to reproductive organs increasing the yield potential.
Boost is taken up into the xylem through the leaves, stem, or roots and translocated to growing sub-apical meristems. It reduces the inter nodes length of new shoots and results in earlier formation of terminal buds hence, controlling the tree vigour. These terminal buds bear fruits, Boost increases the fruit bud production, fruit color and harvest yield
Mango Dosage: 15ml/acre Time of Application: Age 7 to 15 years. Dosage: 20ml/acre Time of Application: Age 16 to 25 years. Dosage: 30ml/acre Time of Application: Age more than 25 years.
- Royal booster is more effective when used with the Collar Drench method. With the recommended quantity of Boost with 0.5-2 ltr of water per tree, apply this on the soil or trunk crack line around the base of the trunk.
- Apply Royal booster as a Soil Drench. Dilute the recommended quantity of Royal Booster in clean water of 10 liters and apply in a furrow 5 cm deep about 2 to 3 feet away from the trunk, fill up with soil after application.
- By foliar spray application, the new flowering can be treated with 1000-2000 ppm after sunset.
